Seal/stamp remaking

Over time, seals can become chipped or damaged, such as from being dropped from a desk or accidentally stamped over paper secured with a clip or staple. Depending on the extent of the damage, a seal may be deemed different from the one registered as an official seal or bank seal. Even if it is accepted, chipped edges cannot be repaired, and the damage may spread further, rendering the seal unusable. Therefore, it's best to have it remade.

Furthermore, some people want to remake their existing seals, such as wanting to use a seal they received from a close friend or family member as a memento with their own name on it, or wanting to change a seal made with their surname when they were single to one with their new surname.

We now accept requests for "seal remaking (re-engraving)" .

 

*Prices vary depending on size and materials.

*We do not accept requests to engrave (copy) a seal with the exact same characters as a damaged seal.

*Please be sure to re-register your remade seal at the local government office if it is your official seal, and at your bank if it is your bank seal.
