Q: Which typeface should I choose?

A. Of the various typefaces available, the most suitable for official seals and bank seals are the formal seal script and inso script (a typeface based on seal script).

Q: If I want to make both my official seal and bank seal with my given name, will they both end up being the same seal?

A. Even if both are in the same typeface and have the same character orientation, we create each with a different design. However, it is still better to have them easily distinguishable, so many customers choose to change the typeface, such as using a seal script for their official seal and an inso-tai (good luck seal) for their bank seal.

Q: Should I choose horizontal or vertical writing?

A. Basically, you can choose either one depending on your preference. However, if the name is three characters long and contains many horizontal lines (e.g., Shigemi or Marina), writing it vertically will give the impression of being crowded with horizontal lines. For such people, horizontal writing is recommended. If the number of strokes in one character is extremely low, like Kazumi, writing it vertically will give a better balance.
